ForeseeHome FAQ: Recent Submissions

June 2023

We are frequently asked questions about the ForeseeHome device, how it works, and why it works the way it does. Please read on for some commonly asked questions.

How many stimuli do you get per test?

The number of stimuli or lines you’ll see during each session varies from day to day. You should expect an average of between 30-60 stimuli per session. One of the factors that can increase or decrease the number of stimuli you experience is your testing accuracy.

If I test late at night, does the test count for that day or the next?

It is not required that you test at any specific time of the day, but we recommend you test as part of your normal routine, like brushing your teeth. As long as you're testing daily, or a minimum of 3 to 4 times each week, the time you test does not matter.

Do I need to notify you if I’m away from home for a week or more?

The ForeseeHome device is designed to be portable so you can take it with you if you’re traveling. Here are some helpful tips for traveling with your device:

- Don't forget to pack your ForeseeHome device in its carrying case for easy transporting

- The device is Transportation Security Administration (TSA) approved to carry on when flying

- If you have a WiFi modem and you're away from a WiFi network, the device will store your testing information until you can connect to your network again. Remember that your network connection is important for your ongoing monitoring by the Notal Vision Monitoring Center.

- If you have a WiFi modem and you're traveling for an extended period, let us know and we'll send you a cellular modem so your device can transmit your testing data from anywhere.

We do have the ability to place your account on a pause if you’re away from your device for more than a week and do not wish to travel with it. You can send a pause request to us by emailing patientsupport@notalvision.com.

In the event you’ve forgotten to notify us, you may receive notifications from the monitoring center reminding you to test on your ForeseeHome device.
