Medicare Open Enrollment is Coming: What ForeseeHome Patients Need to Know
September 2026
Fall is almost here, and with it comes one of the most important dates on the calendar for our Medicare patients: Medicare Open Enrollment.
Every year, Medicare beneficiaries get a short window to review, change, or keep their coverage for the upcoming year. This is the time to make sure your plan still works for you and for the health monitoring programs you rely on, like ForeseeHome.
Key Dates to Remember
- October 15, 2026: Medicare Open Enrollment begins
- December 7, 2026: Medicare Open Enrollment ends (last day to make changes)
- January 1, 2027: Any changes you make in the open enrollment period will take effect
- January 1 – March 31, 2027: Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (a second, more limited window for those already on a Medicare Advantage plan to make one additional switch)
Why This Matters for Your ForeseeHome Program
Before you make any changes to your coverage, we encourage you to pause and think about how a new plan might affect your ForeseeHome AMD Monitoring Program coverage. Not all Medicare plans treat coverage the same way, and switching carriers or plan types can sometimes come with unexpected changes to your out-of-pocket costs.
Here is what we have observed: patients enrolled in Traditional Medicare with a supplementary (secondary) insurance plan typically have the best chance of little to no out-of-pocket monthly cost for their ForeseeHome program. If you are considering a Medicare Advantage plan or switching carriers, it is worth double-checking how that plan handles remote monitoring benefits before you commit.
