Using the Eye Care Professional (ECP) Portal for clinical decision making

February 2022

Once you refer your intermediate AMD patients to the Notal Vision Monitoring Center for the ForeseeHome AMD Monitoring Program, you have a host of tools at your fingertips via the ECP Portal. Reviewing the patient testing data from the Portal can assist in your clinical decision making during routine and post-alert office visits.

Abnormalities seen on the metamorphopsia visual field maps support the review of in-office OCT and/or OCTA images. Doctors can also review testing frequency and reliability to enforce patient testing compliance for better outcomes.

Did you know? The CPT® 2021 Evaluation and Management (E&M) Services Guidelines now allows for E&M code billing for Medicare patients when doctors refer their patients to other providers, as well as review the patient data received from those providers. You can read more about the changes to E&M coding here.

Click here to understand how to read and interpret ForeseeHome data, including metamorphopsia maps, from the ECP Portal.

The ECP Portal can also be used to:

  • Refer patients online
  • Access alert notifications
  • Order patient educational materials
